Straight Talk Samsung Precedent How to Add a An Email Account

The Samsung precedent allows you to add multiple email addresses using the Email app. Don't confuse this for the Gmail app that only supports Gmail. The Email app supports any email provider so long as they have open incoming and outgoing email servers. This includes Aol, Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, etc. While the phone auto configs the incoming/outgoing servers, there maybe instances that may require Manual Configuration in cases where the incoming/outgoing servers have a different domain than the email address. You will know this if the autoconfig does not work.

1. Select the Email app.

2. Enter your email address and password.

3.Press Next for autoconfig or Manual if you want to manually configure the incoming/outgoing servers. Stick to auto on the first go and try Manual if that does not work.

4.Enter an Alias for the email account and the display name that will be used on outgoing emails. These are optional but recommended.

5.Press Finish and watch your inbox fill up.
